Stampin Up Cards

Stampin Up Creations

I've been a Stampin Up Demonstrator for 2 months now and figured it was time to start posting some of the cards I have made more recently. The Christmas card is only using Stampin Up papers as the image is digital and colored with copics. I made 6 of these for a Swap with my monthly stamp club. I'm glad to get this one out of the way.

This next one is all Stampin Up product. A lot of work put into this one as there is a lot of inking and stamping as well as coloring. And if you look closely enough at the die in the middle of the you'll see I also used a paper crimper on it. I love the end result of this one.

Last but not least is another Stampin Up card using the Elements of Style stamp set that was used above. This card was a lot simpler, a little time required with coloring the flower but much quicker to make. Not quite the wow factor or all the details you get in the above card but if your in a time crunch this gives you a nice card in the end.

Saturday Sketch Challenge

I decided to do the saturday sketch challenge this week using one of the Kenny K digital stamps. Lots of fun to color. I used My Minds Eye papers, Stampin Up Whispering White satin ribbon with two of the stampin up antique brads, and used my stampin up scallop punch. Also used a little stickles on her earring and the white of the running shoes. Here's the sketch from Sketch Saturday.

My entry for the Sugar Bowl Challenge

I just received my 1st order from the Sugar Nellie collection today and just had to get one of these little cuties colored up. But before I did that I just happened to do a google search and saw the Sugar Bowl challenge. I always love to enter a challenge and didn't let this one pass me buy, the sketch was simple enough and the fact that there was a specific color combo to go with took a lot of thought out of it. I love black white and red and decided to go with these colors, adding the red mat behind each layer to help it pop out more. I didn't have any round buttons to do the little round embellishments on the bottom, but found some cute little red flowers and some tiny brads to create the white center. Overall I am very happy with how this one turned out. Looking forward to coloring up the other two stamps I got. The sketch is included in case anyone is interested in it. Papers used are chatterbox, Basic Grey and the cardstock is from Stampin Up! Thanks for looking.

Tilda holding 3 flowers

Was going through my stash tonite trying to organize my paper into a new organizer I bought. In doing so I came accross this paper and thought it would be perfect for the colors that I colored Tilda with. In going with the sketch I looked for some flowers and also managed to find some that went well with the paper. Used a little bit of my stampin up ink pads to ink the edges of the paper and a little on the flowers to dull the colors a bit and this is what I got. This card has been entered into Sketch Saturday

Tilda wants a Hug

Atleast I think that is what she is called. If I am wrong please correct me. This little cutie came from the fall kit that I received recently. And is the 2nd stamp I have used from this kit so far. I found the little mini Christmas lights at Michaels today, they are by Jolee's Boutique, the paper is Bo Bunny. They are Christmas papers from last year. But perfect colors to go with the red in my image.

This card has been entered into the Sketch Something Challenge & the just Magnolia Challenge.

Merry Christmas Maude

I came across this free digi stamp the other day and thought it was just too cute in a funny kind of way and had to color it. Well I colored her last night and found some papers that went quite well and made up the card today. Everyone in the house got a little chuckle out of her, hope you do to.

This card was entered into the Friday Sketchers challenge using the sketch pictured below. As well also entered Christmas Card Challenges. For those that are interested I got the image from http://www.imag-e-nation.com/

A little something for the teachers

I came up with this cute little gift bag for a teachers Xmas gift for this year. I used a die that I got on the stampin up clearance rack recently and used two of the stamps from Magnolia's fall collection. A little bit of Xmas ribbon that I had on hand and some dimensional pop dots to make it pop a bit. No idea what these Magnolia stamps are called, but I just love the little girl with her wings. Perfect for Xmas, especially colored in red as I've done. I almost forgot, I used my spellbinders for the first time on this as well as some glitter ritz for the green glitter. Thanks for coming to take a look.

Someone asked for the reds that I used, they are R27, R24, R22 & R20

Edwin sitting on Sled

I've had this stamp for a few weeks now and finally got around to coloring him last night. I went through my stash of papers today and found some great DP for him. I used some distressing ink on the flowers with some brads to give them a more distressed look to go with the paper. I know I saw a sketch for this little guy somewhere and was going by memory, but can't remember where I saw it. Thanks for taking a peak.

Friday's Sketchers Challenge

I came across this sketch challenge today and decided to give it a shot. I haven't completed too many challenges yet, but figure it's a great way to get some inspiration. I had Fairydust Tilda all colored up, it was just a  matter of  finding some papers that coordinated. I used basic grey for most of them and I am happy with the overall look. I also included a nice little message on the inside, but didn't take a pic of the inside. Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Free Digital Stamp download for the month of October

I found a site this week that has some really cute digital stamps available, http://www.kennykdownloads.com/
Every month a new digital stamp is available for a free download. This month was a cutie in rollerblades. I couldn't resist coloring her up and making a card tonite. This was so different from the typical Magnolia images I have been coloring lately that I had a tough time choosing the colors. In the end I was very happy with how she turned out. Didn't have quite the papers I wanted to go with her but made due with what I had. Can't wait to see what they come up with next month!

Step Ladder Card

Found a tutorial online for this one that I wanted to try out. It's a little bit trickier with the cuts and folds on it, but still not difficult. I love being able to find different styles of cards instead of always making the traditional card. I thought this would be the perfect style card for my most recently colored Magnolia image, Honey Tilda and the pumpking. I decided to color her in in Halloween colors and have her sit on the pumkin. I used stickles on her wings and on the pumkin. The bat punch on the card is Martha Stewart.

Just Magnolia Challenge

This is my card for the just Magnolia challenge using the sketch included. I used the Ladybug Tilda stamp for this one. She's one that I had colored some time ago, I have to say she is one of my many favorites.

My Saturday night

It was just me and the kids tonite, and I took that free time and started making some cards with some of the Magnolia images I had already stamped and colored. So far I've gotten 3 cards made tonite; Fairydust Tilda, Bunny Tilda holding an egg and Happy Tilda. The cards all have their own type of unique look, Two of them I used sketches that I had found online awhile back and saved on my computer. The other one I just quickly slapped together when I realized I had papers that went perfectly with Tilda's outfit. Used a stampin up sentiment stamp and a stampin up stamp pad that happened to be a very similar blue.

A Halloween Tri-fold Shutter card

I have a friend of mine that is going to be having a space at a flea market and asked me to make some Halloween themed cards to sell. I made this one last night. I like this one the tri-fold. The Happy Halloween stamp with the spider is a Penny Black stamp. Magnolia image is Bat Tilda bought from Diana's. This little cutie was colored with copic markers. I didn't keep a list of the colors used but will try to do that in the future.

Tildaa with 3 flowers

I already had this little cutie colored, so putting together the card was relatively quick. Thanks for looking.

My first attempt using a digital stamp

Someone mentioned digital stamps to me last week. I found a site where I really liked the images that she had and figured I would give it a go. It's a very cute image, my one small complaint is that not all the lines in the image join, leaving things open to your own imagination as to where the color should end. Overall though, still happy with her and will probably try again. In case anyone is interested in checking out her beautiful digital stamps here's the link http://digitalpenciltoo.com/

I also have my first attempt at a handmade flower, I used the tutorial in the Magnolia Magazine this past summer. I added some stickles to the edges of the petal to make it pop a bit.

Another trifold shutter card

I changed the height on this one a little from the other one. On this one I used the baby Tingla Magnolia stamp. I wanted a lighter shade for her little outfit that would go with the papers, I think I am happy with the color I got. Would have preferred more of a baby pink or a softer pink, but I don't as of yet own these shades so made do with what I had on hand. Almost time for another copic order I think.

My first Tri Fold Shutter Card

I've seen a few of these on the web, one most recently on a stampin up demonstrators facebook. I love the style of this because it is so unique so I went in search of the tutorial for it. It's very easy to follow and despite how the cards looks very easy to make. Here is the link for anyone who's interested: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/resources/tutorials/trishuttercard/

Edwin Chasing Butterflies

I had a lot of fun with Edwin. I had to first decide what colors to use on him and discovered something very cool today after having read some tips on copics. I used W3 over the red to get the result I did, it really helped to blend the two and give it the end result that I was looking for. The papers are basic grey that I found at my local Michael's store that I had just picked up today. The papers went perfectly and the one with the butterflies was the perfect paper for me to cut out the butterflies which I did. The sentiment I used is a Stampin Up Stamp that I also picked up today from a demonstrator that was getting rid of some of her things. All in all this card turned out better then I had expected.

Chasing Tilda

Someone made a comment once that my stamped images match my patterned paper, you'd probably guess that I prematch before I color in my images, but I don't. I just go through my papers to see what I have that would go with it. As luck would have it I had just bought some new papers that went with this one really nice. Found some paper flowers that matched it nicely as well. Pulled out my corner rounder which I hadn't used in quite some time to round up the corners and used a new border punch to give it a nice touch.

Pirate Edwin

My son was needing a 2L container for school, no idea what for. But I got the idea in my head awhile ago that I was going to alter the container and seeing as school starts in two days I took this task on today. I used my cricut to cut out some treasure chests and used three pirate edwins on it as well. He's very happy with it and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

Tingla

Here's baby Tingla. I had colored her last night using copic markers v15 & v12 for her sleeper and B04, and B00 for her little booties. That one was sold so I decided to color another one tonite and complete the card as well. I used pinks this time, R85 & R81 for the sleeper and R85 & R83 for the booties. I used a little bit of stickles on the wings and cut her out by hand. The flowers used are the mulberry roses. Turned out a little blurry on the left side with scanning due the flowers being on there. The title was printed from my computer. And the papers are K & Company. Thanks for looking.

A night out and here is some of what I got done

I was invited out to an evening of scrapbooking, which for me meant card making. I had just received my latest shipment of Magnolia stamps and brough them along to play. I finished 3 cards and stamped and colored 6 images. I had a very productive night and had tons of ladies coming by my table to see what I was doing. Here in Winnipeg these stamps are not well known and many had not yet seen them, but of course fell in love right away. I actually sold my Halloween card that I have posted on my blog as well as an image that I had just stamped and colored in that evening. Wasn't going there with the intention of selling anything so I was definetly surprised. I had it suggested to me that I should try and make as many between now and the next crop and try and sell them. Lol Here are the three cards that I made

Bat Tilda

This one was a lot of fun even if I was a little unsure of using greys as this was my first time and I don't have a lot of greys just yet. But I'm pleasantly surprised with how this little cutie turned out. I used a little bit of stickles on the wings and the bottom of the pants. Papers are magnolia. They were perfect for this one, and the background stamp is also magnolia.

Flying Tilda

Went with a bit of a distressed look for the card itself. Image colored with copic markers, also used stickles to enhance the wings and the wand. I am loving playing with these stamps. My oldest daughter thinks I'm addicted, I think she might be right, lol. Off to finish with my bat Tilda, worked on this one while she was drying. I can see that there will be endless possibilities here. I'm determined to do one of each stamp before I start seeing what else I can come up with. But I'm thinking I'm going to have to place another order real soon.

As I was typing this my oldest daughter who's 17 stopped to look at the card. She hasn't really commented on any of the others but she did with this one. I'm thinking maybe she'll be getting this one as a birthday card.

Another take on Tilda with raindrops

I went by my LSS today and picked up some new papers after dropping off my oldest daughter at work. I think I prefer this look. Let me know what you think.

Tilda with Raindrops

Not too sure about this. I am happy with how Tilda turned out, not sure about the papers I chose though. Who knows, I might end up redoing it if I can find the right papers to go with the colors on Tilda. It was nice being able to use some different colors, including the browns, greens and yellows.

Yipee! I got my first order of copics today!

I've been able to add to my colors, but still waiting on a second order and thinking of placing a third. I've been trying to figure out the different colors I want to be able to work with. But mainly it's all about having fun. Thanks for all the wonderful comments, they put a smile on my face. Ended up staying home with one of the kids that was under the weather today so I will be playing some more in between loads of laundry and looking after the kids.

Butterfly Tilda

Well this would be my third card of the day. Not sure that I'm going to be doing anymore after this one tonite. Sadly I have to return to work tomorrow, I don't think my boss would appreciate me playing hookie, lol. For this card I dragged out my sewing machine, it's been a very long time since I have used it to sew on paper. And even though it is certainly more time consuming it's worth the effort. I'm quite pleased with how the colors turned out on this one. Unfortunately the scan is a little fuzzy along the bottom portion due to the thickness of the flower that I have on there.

Ballerina TIlda

My 2nd card using Magnolia`s. They are definetly getting a little easier. I tried to do a little something different this time with this card. I used my storybook cartridge for my cricut for the pink flower that`s in the background and used 3D pop dots to make Tilda ``pop``. I`m definetly addicted to these little cuties, they are so much fun to bring to life.

My first ever Magnolia card

I got my first shipment of Magnolia stamps yesterday and didn`t waste anytime starting to play. I got this little cutie all colored in last night and hate to wait for the stickles to dry before I could add her to a card and finish it all up. I still don`t have many copic markers as I am waiting on a couple of shipments in the mail. But I still think she looks cute even with my limited supply of color. Looking forward to being able to do more shading as the colors come in. Got my 2nd shipment today and there are so many cute ones, I just don`t know which one to try next. Looking forward to sharing future creations.

One of my first attempts with copic

This is going to be a birthday card for my 4 yr old stepdaughter. I had a very limited amount of copics to work with on this one, but despite that I am still quite happy at how it turned out. Anxious to see what I can do with more colors though. I think she'll love this with all the glitter and it being a princess fairy and all.

One more

Again this one was also made before I took the plunge into copics. I've used stickles on it to make it pop a little more.

A card made with a penny black stamp

This one is not made using copic markers, in fact this stamp was colored in before I got hooked on copics. But I still like the way that the card turned out.

Welcome to my blog!

This is my first time posting here and first time having created a blog. I'm new to the world of Magnolia stamps as well as copic markers but am having a ton of fun learning as I go along. Stay tuned for pics of my work. Thanks
