A little something for the teachers

I came up with this cute little gift bag for a teachers Xmas gift for this year. I used a die that I got on the stampin up clearance rack recently and used two of the stamps from Magnolia's fall collection. A little bit of Xmas ribbon that I had on hand and some dimensional pop dots to make it pop a bit. No idea what these Magnolia stamps are called, but I just love the little girl with her wings. Perfect for Xmas, especially colored in red as I've done. I almost forgot, I used my spellbinders for the first time on this as well as some glitter ritz for the green glitter. Thanks for coming to take a look.

Someone asked for the reds that I used, they are R27, R24, R22 & R20

Edwin sitting on Sled

I've had this stamp for a few weeks now and finally got around to coloring him last night. I went through my stash of papers today and found some great DP for him. I used some distressing ink on the flowers with some brads to give them a more distressed look to go with the paper. I know I saw a sketch for this little guy somewhere and was going by memory, but can't remember where I saw it. Thanks for taking a peak.

Friday's Sketchers Challenge

I came across this sketch challenge today and decided to give it a shot. I haven't completed too many challenges yet, but figure it's a great way to get some inspiration. I had Fairydust Tilda all colored up, it was just a  matter of  finding some papers that coordinated. I used basic grey for most of them and I am happy with the overall look. I also included a nice little message on the inside, but didn't take a pic of the inside. Thanks for stopping by to take a look.

Free Digital Stamp download for the month of October

I found a site this week that has some really cute digital stamps available, http://www.kennykdownloads.com/
Every month a new digital stamp is available for a free download. This month was a cutie in rollerblades. I couldn't resist coloring her up and making a card tonite. This was so different from the typical Magnolia images I have been coloring lately that I had a tough time choosing the colors. In the end I was very happy with how she turned out. Didn't have quite the papers I wanted to go with her but made due with what I had. Can't wait to see what they come up with next month!

Step Ladder Card

Found a tutorial online for this one that I wanted to try out. It's a little bit trickier with the cuts and folds on it, but still not difficult. I love being able to find different styles of cards instead of always making the traditional card. I thought this would be the perfect style card for my most recently colored Magnolia image, Honey Tilda and the pumpking. I decided to color her in in Halloween colors and have her sit on the pumkin. I used stickles on her wings and on the pumkin. The bat punch on the card is Martha Stewart.
